Day 2 March Break, New York and Washington 11th March - 20th March

Sunday 13th March  - Day 2 New York City (I just like reminding you all :-)

We decided to hit the museums and art galleries today - there are so many great ones and we thought we'd be able to fit in 3 throughout the day but with amazing art to see and spectacular exhibitions we only got through 2.  We walked for an hour up 5th Avenue and along Central Park to get to the MET (Metropolitan Museum of Art), stopping first for photos of the Guggenheim Museum.

Which way to go?

There's a hot dog vendor on just about every corner

In the MET I stood in awe of so many wonderful paintings - Van Gogh, Matisse, Monet, Rembrandt, Renoir and Picasso ..... shall I continue :-)

A quick stroll across Central Park was the American Museum of Natural History, yep where Night at the Museum was filmed.  Such a great museum with so many wonderful and interesting exhibits, you can really see how the animals might come alive at night!

We headed home once again through Broadway this time making our way into Times Square - what a buzz, so many people and so much going on!

I got through it all!

Times Square

Only in America!

In Times Square.
