Camp Wanakita 17th & 18th September 2011

The exchange teacher foundation had another weekend at Camp Wanakita in Haliburton. We were here as a group in February during winter!  It was fantastic to have the opportunity to go back and see it is a different season, last time we were ice skating on the lake, snow shoeing, skiing along the trails and sliding down the icy hills on a matress. This weekend we were able to see the start of the fall colours as we hiked along trails and canoed across the lake.

The leaves just starting to turn

Waking up early was worth it

Its Fall!

I fell knee deep in snow on this lake
while snow shoeing in February

The reflections were beautiful

An incredible beaver dam! Yep!

This was covered in snow in February

I skied down here - wow!
